Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, per an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
