On Monday, the court was told phone records and information retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a trip in Portugal - is among the most widely reported child disappearance cases and is still open.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another voicemail, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I am she? What happens next? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I don't want money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I just want to discover," the recording stated.

The jury was informed that via electronic messages, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to display a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with the police force who compiled the data, informed the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted family friends of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On 9 October 2024, the father answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I will continue and I plan to establish my position."

The court heard Mrs Spragg established a connection online with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' home in that area in December 2024.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be treated respectfully in the months before the trip to that location, that area, in last December.

The court heard correspondence between the two accused, in last November, discussing attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We have to take action," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the visit to their home, Mrs Spragg sent a message which expressed: "We're currently sitting outside the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark like detectives. I had hoped to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial proceeds.
